Sea to Taproot

Some of our favorite community food events have taken place at TapRoot over this past year.

 

We had the honor to work with Chef "Delicious Dave" Thorne on the dessert for the Sea to TapRoot event, "a unique boat-to-plate experience supporting the Alaska Marine Conservation Council."

 

We prepared a maple ice cream, flavored with organic pure maple syrup. Dave nested each scoop in a tuile cookie cup, topped it with cocoa-cured ikura and candied seaweed shards, and drizzled fruit purees over the side. A work of art!

Sea To TapRoot will celebrate wild Alaskan seafood and fishermen while also raising funds to support AMCC’s work to ensure healthy oceans and thriving coastal communities.
