Wild Scoops Express is a super convenient option for picking up pints, sammies, gift cards, and merch without waiting in a long line at the Midtown Scoop Shop! Customers are loving the option for a grab-and-go, but we’re also getting lots of questions about this space - we’ve answered some of the most frequently asked below!

What is Wild Scoops Express?

Wild Scoop Express is a spot to get grab-and-go packaged ice cream. It is located in the front of the Test Kitchen in the Metro Mall, just a few doors down from the Midtown Scoop Shop, between Saverios and Trek. 

Why did you open Wild Scoops Express?

We know that waiting in the line at the Midtown Scoop Shop gets can be a challenge - especially when you just need to pick up a pint or a gift! We wanted to give folks an option for grabbing a few pints or minis without having to wait in the long line.

When is it open?

It is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 6-9pm, our busiest times during the summer.

What is available?

Pints, ice cream sandwiches, pre-packed single serve cups, gift cards, and a limited selection of merchandise.

Can I sample flavors?

No, unfortunately there is no sampling of flavors at Wild Scoops Express. 

Is the Test Kitchen in operation during open hours?

No, our Test Kitchen operates during normal business hours and typically is no longer operating by 6pm when Wild Scoops Express opens. You’ll be able to see a glimpse of what our Test Kitchen looks like, but you won’t see any of our Kitchen Team at work. 

Why is it called the “Test Kitchen”?

We call it the Test Kitchen to convey the experimental nature of what we do. We are known for our adventurous flavors, and every year we are creating new ones! Throughout the winter, the kitchen staff proposes new flavors and goes through the research and development process to bring some of them to fruition. Some of them are great right off the bat, and some require lots of feedback from the Test Kitchen team and lots of tweaking. We like calling it a test kitchen, because it captures a little bit of the creativity, curiosity, and science of what we do. 

Are the pint flavors the same as at the Midtown Scoop Shop?

We try to keep the same pints in stock at both Wild Scoops Express and the Midtown Scoop Shop but sometimes one location sells out of something before the other, so they aren’t always an exact match. 

What kind of payment does Wild Scoops Express accept?

WSX is cash free and only accepts credit and debit cards.
