Next time you're in for a scoop, check out her work-- it won't disappoint! Read on to learn more about Laura's installation and how to connect with her and her work beyond our walls here at the Scoop Shop!

What inspired the pieces for this collection?

These paintings were inspired by my favorite outdoor memories and adventures. I am constantly amazed by the natural beauty of Alaska. Living on the outskirts of the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, I very feel lucky to have easy access to endless hiking trails, wild rivers, dramatic coastlines and abundant wildlife.

What is the medium of this collection?

These pieces are prints of original acrylic paintings on canvas.

Tell us a bit about yourself as an artist?

I’ve always had an interest in art. I graduated in 2008 with a BA in Art from the University of Oregon and have been painting full time since 2020.

Any favorite Wild Scoops flavors?

Sitka swirl and wild blueberry!

Any other fun facts?

You can find my paintings for sale year round at Dos Manos in Anchorage and Naptowne Brewery in Sterling.
