Happy April, happy spring, but most importantly, happy Girl Scout cookie season! Every year from January through April, the coveted collection of delicious cookies sweeps the market and we are here to remind you that you're not too late to indulge in a box or two (or three or four or...)!
Since the inception of this fundraising venture for girl scouts dating back to 1917, these cookies have become iconic national treasures and the sales of them a beloved tradition for sellers and buyers alike. Starting as a way to raise funds to power all the programs and activities these young women and girls engage in throughout the year, the annual cookie sale has also blossomed into an invaluable practice to empower young people and connect them with the community and beyond. Read more about the history of the annual Girl Scout Cookie Sale here.

This year as a salute to the intrepid Girl Scouts of Alaska, we have partnered with Troop 26101 from Togiak to bring you a flavor we know die-hard GS cookie fans will love! Out of all the cookies, we have chosen the Thin Mint variety -- cool, crumbly, and exquisite when frozen -- as our inspiration. These cookies routinely out-sell the others and since they are all-vegan we decided to double-down on the dairy-free chocolate theme. Introducing our newest vegan scoop: Braving The Ele-Mints (dairy-free chocolate base + crumbly Thin Mint crumbles)!

We're so excited to finally feature these heavenly snacks in a Wild Scoops flavor! Thank you to our friends in Togiak for supplying us with these heavenly snacks! Now a word from this year's cookie supplier:
"The Togiak Girl Scout Troop is having so much fun selling cookies, we are hoping to use cookie funds to go camping upriver this summer and earn our camper and eco camper badges! Our troop loves yuraq, makes traditional foods like akutaq, and enjoys the beautiful nature around Togiak by going fishing and berry picking. Next year we hope to build our sewing skills to eventually make our own vest qaspeqs to wear as Cadettes!"

Shout-out to all the Troop leaders, volunteers, community advocates, leadership teams, cookie buyers, and girl scout alums who continue to empower, uplift and inspire the next generation. Your time, effort, and passion don't go unnoticed!

Cheers to another successful cookie selling season!
