Flavor from the Vault: Apple Cider Donut!

Welcome back from the vault - Apple Cider Donut! 

This fall favorite has been gone too long! It features a sweet cream base, chunks of old-fashioned donuts, and a swirl of homemade spiced apple cider caramel. For our Vault flavor, we've brought back the flavor featuring donuts from Grizzly Donuts AK, based in Eagle River. You can now get Apple Cider Donut at the Midtown Scoop Shop in scoops and pints - but this is a limited batch so get it while supplies last!

Apple Cider Donut!

This flavor originated using the award-winning donuts from our downtown neighbor, The Kobuk. Wholesale permitting regulations led to us having to switch sources this year, but we are happy to now have relationships with two amazing donut companies!

As we celebrate 10 years of creating ice cream for our community, we have been bringing back one flavor from the vault each month, starting this past July and running through next May! We have collected flavor suggestions from our customers, our staff, and Adventure Club Members. It brings back so many memories hearing which of our flavors you are reminiscing about! 

Since the inception of Wild Scoops, we have created over 350 flavors! Many of those have come through Adventure Club (you can see the full list here!) while others have come about throughout the year. A few were inspired by our box of dreams which existed in the Downtown Scoop Shop on E St when it first opened.
