Brownie Mudslide
Trieste Cafe coffee from Kaladi + Anchorage Distillery whiskey caramel + AK barley brownies
(basically, coffee + whiskey caramel + brownies!)
Inspired by an upcoming coffee-cocktail coming up, this flavor features Kaladi's Trieste Cafe coffee ice cream paired with whiskey caramel we made with Anchorage Distillery's small-batch whiskey (made from Alaska-grown wheat!), and our famous barley brownies made with Alaska Flour Company’s AK grown barley. This may be the most collaborations we have ever jam-packed into a single flavor!
Club members are getting first tastes of this flavor, but it will also be served at a Anchorage Distillery x Kaladi Brother coffee-cocktail event in mid-March (more details will come on our website and March’s email). A Mudslide cocktail traditionally includes coffee, Irish Cream, and chocolate garnish components, so we thought this was perfect.
Coffee tasting notes from Kaladi:Â caramel, dark chocolate, almond, smoky
Whiskey tasting notes from Anchorage Distillery: toffee, spiced oak, marzipan, vanilla, toasted marshmallow, citrus zest, allspice, black pepper, dried cherry, fresh pear, shortbread, honey, pecan, cedar, brown sugar
Allergens: egg, milk, wheat

Straw-mary Shortcake
Strawberry rosemary ice cream + cake pieces + strawberry pieces
This intriguing flavor comes to you from Baker Danielle. Here’s what she writes:
“I grew up in California in a neighborhood that used rosemary bushes as decorative hedges. My mom also grew strawberries in our yard. Even the family dog knew how to pick the ripest ones. At some point, cooking shows became a mainstay in our home to find inspiration for new foods. Since rosemary and strawberry were plentiful, I made my parents a strawberry shortcake dessert using rosemary that I'd cut off the hedges walking the dog. It was a hit.Â
Fast forward to now, as an adult, I had an amazing opportunity to share our family's beloved fruit and herb combo in an ice cream form. It was such a fun experience for the Wild Scoops test kitchen to smell like my childhood home!"
Our Test Kitchen didn’t consider this as savory flavor as some of our other herbal ones – we think you can taste both the strawberry and rosemary simultaneously and they complement each other perfectly. We also, for the first time, put freeze-dried fruit pieces directly into the ice cream and love how they turned out. They are a bit soft, a bit gummy, but not at all icy as fresh strawberry would have been.

Bonus: Double Lemon Poppy Seed muffin top sammies
Lemon poppy seed muffin tops + lemon poppy seed ice cream
Just in time for Ice Cream for Breakfast Day (Feb. 7th), we bring you these delightful muffin top ice cream sandwiches! Every once in a while, a customer asks us to bring back our Lemon Poppyseed ice cream, a small-batch delightful flavor from a number of years ago. Now it’s back, with 2X the goodness–both ice cream and muffin!Â
Production Team member Goslin wanted to do muffin tops as part of this year’s R&D and he baked off some tasty trials that were like a cake in texture but baked like cookies. We were surprised by how soft they stayed even when frozen, and several Test Kitchen members said they preferred this ice cream sammie texture to our standard cookies. For this month’s bonus, we went big on the lemon poppy seed train, but we have many ideas for future combos (and we give you a chance to share your own ideas in this month’s survey!).
