We are thrilled to welcome Hailey Morgan to our Midtown Art Wall for the month of May! Her work is inspired by the Alaskan outdoors and was created during the pandemic and as she entered in the journey of motherhood.
Hailey moved to Alaska in 2014 from the Pacific Northwest. She has been creating art for as long as she can remember, but her first show was 11 years ago, in Bellingham, WA. Thanks to the supportive art community here in Alaska, she has been able to pursue art full-time.
She describes her inspiration for this collection as, “my love of the Alaskan Outdoors, a penchant for bright colors, my active imagination and becoming a Mama!” Last spring, Hailey found herself with a lot of time to be outside and soak in the Alaskan outdoors around her before her world became incredibly focused on a tiny, amazing, demanding and cute human: her son.The collection is made with her primary medium: watercolor, copic marker and ink. Hailey enjoys exploring the Alaskan outdoors via bike or hike and her favorite Wild Scoops flavor is Yukon Gold.
